"Don't let the Tories turn tail on Europe" says MEP Watson

Launching the Liberal Democrats European Election Campaign in Wiltshire Graham Watson MEP will tonight say "Don't let the Tories turn tail on Europe".

Graham Watson will say: "Wiltshire people remember Hayley Richards. This local lass was murdered by Portuguese Hugo Quintas who was arrested under the European Arrest Warrant, a measure I took through Parliament. Amazingly the Tories voted against it. What would the Tories have to say to the family of Hayley Richards or the families of those killed by London bomber Hussain Osman or others if their murderers had got off scott free?"

"Maybe that is why Caroline Jackson a Tory MEP in Wiltshire for 20 years, has decided to quit her Party. Tory isolationism will cost Britain dear. Liberal Democrats believe that European countries are stronger together and would be poorer apart. Sending more Lib Dems to the European Parliament is the best way to make Europe work for Britain."
