Cllr Jon Hubbard - Berkshire Green Pathway Success

12.00.00am GMT Wed 25th Feb 2009

Jon, Hubbard, Duncan Hames and local residents admire the newly re-laid path

Following his election to the Town Council last August local councillor Jon Hubbard wrote to the District Council requesting that the pathway running through Berkshire Green be replaced due to it's dangerous condition. Finally the pathway has been re-laid and is now much safer for local residents.

Following the installation of the new pathway the local councillor commented, "I am delighted that this path has now been re-laid. It was clearly dangerous for local residents to use, many of whom are elderly and experience difficulty in mobility."

Since being elected Jon Hubbard has become well known for campaigning to try and improve the quality of life in the ward. He regularly keeps in touch with local residents through his monthly Focus leaflets and is currently undertaking his annual Residents Survey where every resident in the area is invited to comment on any issues that they would like to see action taken on.
