Liberal Democrat councillors and campaigners joined Friends and supporters of Trowbridge Community Hospital on Saturday in a show of support for the local maternity unit that is threatened with closure.

Cllr Jeff Osborn says that local people particularly treasure the town's maternity unit.

Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for the Chippenham constituency, Duncan Hames, and district councillor Jeff Osborn discussed with local mums and their relatives the prospects for the campaign to support local hospitals following the decision of the Wiltshire PCT to postpone its crunch meeting on its 'Pathways for Change' initiative until the end of the month.

The bad weather didn't dampen the spirits of the campaigners out in force in Trowbridge - who were joined by a local community percussion band.
