Sarah Content takes the West Wiltshire District Council Cabinet 'On the Road'8.47.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 27th Sep 2006 Leader of West Wiltshire District Council, Liberal Democrat Sarah Content, is taking her Cabinet of lead councillors out 'On the Road' to hear directly from residents their views on the council and their priorities for the future. They will be holding surgeries for residents in each of the district's five town during the next few weeks. Councillor Sarah Content, says: "We want to get 'back to basics' by finding out what people are interested in and what is concerning them. We often hear from residents when we debate specific issues, but we want to listen to other ideas that people may have that are not discussed in our District Council meetings but perhaps should be. We have our set of priorities, but this is an opportunity for us to look ahead and plan for the goals we want to achieve in the future once our current targets are met." The five residents' surgeries are to be held as follows: Saturday 30 September, 10am to 12.30pm - St Margaret's Hall, Bradford on Avon Saturday 30 September, 2pm to 4.30pm - Rachel Fowler Centre, Chapel Court, Market Place, Melksham Saturday 7 October, 10am to 12.30pm - The Shires Shopping Centre, Trowbridge Saturday 14 October, 10am to 12.30pm - Three Horseshoes Mall, Warminster Saturday 14 October, 2pm to 4.30pm - Westbury Visitor Centre, 1 High Street, Westbury There is no need to make an appointment, explains Sarah: "These are intended as very informal sessions, where people can just drop by and have a chat with us about whatever concerns them about the District Council and its services. We want to hear your views, so come along and see us!"
